Come and take springtime to the next level at ROLLER JAM with Scotchworthy Productions as they celebrate the upcoming production of their second feature length motion picture, THE STORM! The evening promises to be a one of kind event celebrating independent cinema, local music, and roller derby culture on SATURDAY, MAY 12, 2012.
The event is set to take place at one of the cities most beloved and notorious venues, the Portage Theater (4050 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60641).
“I can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on these past six months,” says writer/director Tony Wash, ”So many people have worked day and night week after week after week preparing to make this film. I can’t imagine a better way to kick start this production than hosting an event unlike any we’ve ever done!”

- DOORS @ 5PM - Come early to meet and greet, get a commemorative t-shirt, talk to the bands performing that evening, meet the Bombshells, and chat it up with some of Chicago’s roller derby organizations (Windy City Rollers, the Chicago Outfit, and the Aurora 88s)! Beer (21+) and other concessions will be available for purchase.
- SHOW @ 7PM - See the debut of The Storm teaser, as well as the 2nd official screening of A Chance In Hell!
- BATTLE OF THE BANDS @ 8:30PM - Red Light Compliance, Broken Motion, and The Flyin’ Hellfish will be wrapping up the evening as they battle it out for a spot in Scotchworthy’s upcoming flick!

Today was an incredibly productive and exciting day for us at Scotchworthy Productions. Co-Producer Tim and myself went out to the city early in the day to meet up with some of the ladies from the Windy City Rollers and we’re pleased to discover that they are on board for “The Storm” and are considering ways of helping us out as official sponsors! Huge news given that the WCRs are the biggest derby league in Chicago. Their support, along with the Chicago Outfit, and the Aurora 88’s is showing us just how great the derby community is!Afterwards, we confirmed the order of the first official “The Storm” t-shirts from our pals at Replica Chicago. We will have black, purple, and blue shirts available for $15/ea starting May 12th. Pick one up at our event, Roller Jam, May 12th at the Portage Theater in Chicago, or on our website, www.scotchworthy.com. These shirts are great.
